Heritage Day Milestone:
Unveiling Port Owen’s Main Entrance Transformation

The main project for the association in 2025 was to start the process of upgrading the open areas and the main entrance to Port Owen.

Huge amounts of work were done in the following areas, the fountain at the top of Jocelyn Street, to the left of the Yacht Club and the main entrance.

Done of this would have been possible without the endless amounts of work done by members of the community and the Berg River Municipality.

We thank all of those that assisted with helping, who made donations and provided transport for the project.

On Heritage Day we were able to unveil the completed side of the Main entrance and were honoured to do so with the mayor and other dignitaries in attendance. We thank them for delaying their Heritage Day celebrations to be with us.
